Engine Not Starting After A Drowning
Check the engine for spark, if there is no spark check all plugs on the failsafe from the radio box to the engine for water trapped in the pins, dry out plugs , We recommend some CRC Softseal or silicon grease in the plugs to keep water out of the plugs.
Engine Still Not Starting
Unplug the Failsafe at the Engine to check if the engine will run, if not the engine is the issue.
Engine not Stopping when Failsafe is Activated
If the red LED is turning off and on and the engine is not stopping check that the relay is clicking, you will need to do this with the engine not running as the clicking is not very load, you may also be able to feel it click.
The Most common issue is a broken wire, check the wires at all plugs by unplugging them and pulling gently to see it there is there is any stretch in the wire, if so there is a brake in the wire, repair the brake.
Another common Issue for the Zenoah 32-35CC engine In particular is the blade terminal brakes from vibration of the engine or the earth tab that runs from the small pin though the core of the coil just under the middle bolt hole which has a little brass tab the connects to the circuitboard brakes, this is a very common issue, replace the coil or have the coil repair the coil (we do offer this service to repair the coil) just drop as message from the contact form.
To fix this for ever I modify the coil to have leads as a standard Zenoah 26-30.5 CC Coil has.
Engine Cuts out when Turning
This issue is usually coursed by low voltage to the receiver the voltage must not drop below 5V this could be the wiring from the battery pack is to light and can not supply the current need to operate the servos and the failsafe coursing a voltage drop when the servo is under heavy load and the relay will drop out killing the engine.
To help Alleviate this problem make the power wire from the battery to the receiver as short as possible and use a heavy AWG Wire no smaller than AWG 22, by doing this you with also notice a big difference in the performance of the servos as they will have a better volts and can pull more current from the battery pack.
